Publisher's summary

Evangelical pastor Ed Dobson chronicles his year of living like Jesus and obeying his teachings. Dobson's transition from someone who follows Jesus to someone who lives like Jesus takes him into bars, inspires him to pick up hitchhikers, and deepens his understanding of suffering. As Dobson discovers, living like Jesus is quite different from what we imagine.

Some valuable insights from Ed - But quite religious content

Overall I enjoyed this. I got it after buying his “Seeing Through the Fog” audiobook about 2 years ago, which is a book that Ed details his ALS journey, and gives one perspective and hope.
This book has more religious quotations, and at times, in certain chapters I found this a bit too much. But I persevered with it, to be able to hear Ed’s pearls of wisdom. Along the way I learnt interesting facts about Catholicism and the Rosary, and Judaism, along with other forms of Christianity.
It was interesting to hear the different approaches to religion and politics.
I am not about to go quoting the bible to others after listening to this; however this audiobook was worth listening too and I think Ed was a very well rounded individual whom would have been great to have in your life. It must have been hard that year for his family when he was living like Jesus, especially for his wife, and in caring for him as his ALS progressed. He was very fortunate to have such a supportive family, and they must miss him greatly. Thank you for sharing him with us.
