Truly Annointed and Full of Wise Insights

I wish I would have had this book when I first entered the wilderness. I think I fell for all the traps and if I had read the Wilderness Companion it would have made the journey so much easier. Great book full Glynda's candid and honest battle to become a vessel of the Almighty. Do yourself a favor and read this book! Thank you so much for your faithfulness Glynda. God bless you!

awesome story and great pointers

This is a really good book with lots of gold nuggets for the Christian walk. However, be warned, you will probably get convicted when reading this book. Glynda Lomax is a spiritual giant; her blog wings of prophecy is great.

I Want To Hear It Again!

Absolutely wonderful, IF God's WILDERNESS can be WONDERFUL! Everything about it was inspiring as well as soul searching. The problem is I WANT TO HEAR IT AGAIN! Guess I must purchase the hard copy!

Tedious

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator's voice becomes tedious as well as the story as early as 1/3 of the book. You begin to wonder if anything good ever happens to this woman and then find out by the end of the book - well, not really. I'm not into prosperity theology but barely getting by doesn't draw me either. I am impressed with the author's constant devotion to the Lord though.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Strange Fire: The Danger of Offending the Holy Spirit with Counterfeit Worship by John MacArthur

How did the narrator detract from the book?

An English accent for someone who is from Texas?

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The last Chapter (12) "The Seven Temptations of the Wilderness" is very helpful and would have been better if it had been incorporated more throughout the book.

Terrible Narrator

I am about 5 hours in, but I just can't take anymore of this narrator. The story is inspiring, but it's hard to listen to the first person account of an Oklahoma-Texas girl when told in a British accent. If that's not distracting enough, when she changes her voice to be Glynda praying, she puts on this pouty, whiny childish voice that makes me dislike her so much that I stop listening. The real Glynda is not like that. I listen to her YouTube channel all the time, and she is a no nonsense spiritual teacher. Her podcasts are very inspiring, but I don't think I can listen to any more of this book. The narrator is just too annoying.
