Publisher's summary

Previously published as Yeshua's Yoga, The Hidden Message of the Lost Gospel of Thomas unearths the central teaching of this ancient text. The Gospel of Thomas, re-discovered in Nag Hammadi Egypt in 1945, remains one of the most exciting archaeological finds of recent centuries. But how prepared are we to approach this text on its own terms? How accurately are we able to discover what it is saying, immersed as we are in 2000 years of Platonic and dualistic Christian orthodoxy? Thanks to the influx of Eastern knowledge and the new crop of Western teachers willing to re-approach their Christian tradition as the Eastern wisdom teacher that Jesus was, we may finally be able to see the meaning and philosophical structure of this once-beloved and truly remarkable Christian text. The Gospel of Thomas delineates the Way of Yeshua, a spiritual path that guides us through six clear movements of searching, finding, trouble, wonder, reigning, and rest. The resonance with classic Yogic paths makes this document the bridge many searchers need to reconcile and fully embrace the wisdom of both the East and the West.

very interesting

To imagine, to know that these words were written by Thomas is moving beyond words. The interpetation was very helpful in the understanding of the message of Jesus. I will listen to this book again and again.

The Missing Link?

A thorough yet brief and concise overview of the Gospel of Thomas in this well thought out commentary which could very well be considered, along with its New Testament parallels.... a spiritual missing Link which Bridges wisdom of the mystics Christianity and the non-dual teachings of the East in understandable language and deep discernment of the spiritual realm and the vast reach of the kingdom of God among men, no matter their tradition of origin. By quoting the individual logians and showing their unmistakable Eastern parallels , the author makes the Gospel of Thomas readily discernible to all. a highly recommended read for those who wish to understand the Gospel of Thomas in depth.

Great Old Thomas Gospel explained!!!

This a must read for those who thirst for God’s messages in the lost scriptures and ancient text. I found the whole book/explanations both Christian and Eastern thoughts as told by Richard Roth. I suggest some previous exposure to ancient writings /or specific Disciple’s prose needed. This reading experience was not the same for my husband who refused to listen. ? Why I ask- it was a marvellous book! FromMars I guess!

Good Content--Struggled with the Narration

I could only make it through the first 45 minutes of the book. The content seems good but the narrator's choppy style of speaking makes it very difficult for me to fully absorb the content. He pauses too frequently--like he inserts commas after every 3 words--very similar to Captain Kirk/William Shatner. Then he will randomly speed up...then sound robotic...then overly theatrical. It just wasn't my style. Plus he repeatedly mispronounces "Yeshua". I will be returning the audiobook but will definitely purchase the physical book as I think the content was pretty good.
