Story
The NASB 2020 is an update of the NASB 1995 that further improves accuracy where possible, modernizes language, and improves understandability. These refinements maintain faithful accuracy to the original texts and provide a clear understanding of God’s Word to those who prefer more modern English standards. The long-established translation standard for the NASB remains the same as it always has been, that is to accurately translate the inspired Word of God from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts into modern English that is clearly understandable today.

For centuries, the only way to access God’s word was to hear it read aloud in public gatherings. Today, many are blessed to own personal printed copies of the Bible, but there is a surprising benefit to hearing the Scriptures read aloud as it was for so many generations. Verses you have read many times will impact you in a new way when you hear them through the Listener’s Audio Bible (NIV). Read in a single voice with subtle background music, Max McLean’s skillful, engaging, but never over-dramatized style will bring the complete Bible to life.

Story
“Break Through the Language Barrier, Expand Your Understanding” The Amplified Bible is a Literal Equivalent translation that, by using synonyms and definitions, both explains and expands the meaning of words in the text. This unique system of translation allows the reader to more completely and clearly grasp the meaning as it was understood in the original Hebrew and Greek languages. For example, the Greek word pisteuo, which the vast majority of versions render as “believe.” That simple translation, however, hardly does justice to the many meanings contained in the Greek pisteuo: “to adhere to, cleave to; to trust to have faith in; to rely on, to depend on.”

Story
Turning the other cheek does not mean standing by while the enemies of God dismantle Christian civilization and brainwash our children. Decrying the cowardice that masquerades as meekness, Eric Metaxas summons the Church to battle. An attenuated and unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. Paying lip service to an insipid “evangelism,” they shrink from combating the evils of our time. Metaxas refutes the pernicious lie that fighting evil politicizes Christianity.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

It has been one of the most influential books in the history of literature. The secret to happiness is to acknowledge and transform suffering, not to run away from it. Here, Thich Nhat Hanh offers practices and inspiration transforming suffering and finding true joy. Thich Nhat Hanh acknowledges that because suffering can feel so bad, we try to run away from it or cover it up by consuming. We find something to eat or turn on the television. But unless we’re able to face our suffering, we can’t be present and available to life, and happiness will continue to elude us.

Verses you have read many times will impact you in a new way when you hear them through the Listener’s Audio Bible (NIV). Missing entire chapters
What disappointed you about The Complete Audio Holy Bible?
Before purchasing I read the last review on this which was negative. His reason was not being able to find a particular book or chapter. This can be overcome by manually bookmarking which I have done.
The major issue that I have. I decided I wanted to listen to Deuteronomy 28 so I went to look for it. It is not here. Deuteronomy 28 is completely missing. It just skips from 27 strait over to 29. This is very disappointing. I feel like it is pointless for me to listen if I can't trust that everything is here.

What went wrong in recording
What would have made The Complete Audio Holy Bible better?
What you are seeing in the other reviews is a mistake that occured during the compiling of the audio version of the book. As you are listening to book 8 you eventually come to the book of Acts. when you get to the end of chapter 24 it suddenly jumps to Revelation 18 and finishes the book of revelation before coming back to acts 25 and continuing on in biblical order. Then when you get to book 9 you eventually come to Revelation. Revelation is read through chapter 17, then ends. So what happened was they didn't do a good job editing their work and got the end of Rev stuck in the book of Acts.
Any additional comments?

Don't buy it—no way to find any book, chapter...
Any additional comments?
This shouldn't be for sale as it is. They've simply put together nine huge files you download and that's it. No books of the Bible or chapters of the book. Just huge files containing 1/9 of the Bible. Fine for a novel, but utterly useless for a Bible.

Don't Buy this Bible
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Better navigation
What did you like best about this story?
Great translation but horrible navigation
Have you listened to any of Dale McConanchie’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The translation is great and so is the speaker. It's the laziness on the part of the publisher to not provide an adequate navigation that makes this product unpleasant.
Any additional comments?
I had hoped the navigation of this book would have been fixed by now for an audiobook that cost over $30. Complaints about this go back almost four years. Don't buy this Bible until the publisher is willing to fix the navigation and take some pride in what they are offering their listeners. This is laziness on their part.

No books/chapters available. Only self-bookmarking
Would you listen to The Complete Audio Holy Bible again? Why?
Sure. It is not a one time read if you know what it is.
What other book might you compare The Complete Audio Holy Bible to and why?
Other translations - curious if Amazon/Audible have any other English translations of Bible with proper content marking - at least book/chapter or at most book/chapter/verse. Check out biblegateway for reference. There you can pick book/chapter/verse. Your product's only advantage - it is downloadable. Hope you make it better.
What didn’t you like about Dale McConanchie’s performance?
Nothing.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The Word of God

Recording is fine but NO directory!
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I would have to be able to go directly to a book and verse using a directory. As it is, I have no idea where anything is.
What could Made for Success, Inc. have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
I would have to be able to go directly to a book and verse using a directory. As it is, I have no idea where anything is.
How could the performance have been better?

No scenes to comment on.
Any additional comments?

Navigation... not so great
What disappointed you about The Complete Audio Holy Bible?
The actual Books of the Bible are not labeled as such, making it hard to navigate quickly.
What did you like best about this story?
It is God's Word, what's not to like!!!
Any additional comments?
I love the dramatic reading, I just wish it was Book for Book.

NAS
What more could you ask for? It's God's Word plain and simple. No dramatization, just truth--lock, stock, and barrel.

Very enjoyable
I enjoy this bible because it's read without sound effects or background music. I've had it for a few years now and listen to it over and over.

Navigation
This is my favorite narration but navigating through to different chapters is the worst I have come across. You never know what chapters are in each section and no way to go straight to a verse. Very sad with the technology God has given us today that they don’t fix this problem.
