Spurgeon Is Superb!

If you could sum up Spurgeon Devotions from the Prophetic Books of the Bible in three words, what would they be?

Although I know that there are many people who write great devotionals, Charles Spurgeon's love for the Savior is so sweet....it's almost contagious. Every night when I go to bed, I put in my ear buds and listen to Spurgeon's devotions. Apart from the Bible, these are me of the most beautiful and moving words ever written about the Lord Jesus Christ. If you love Christ Jesus, buy this book and listen to it. I highly recommend it!

What other book might you compare Spurgeon Devotions from the Prophetic Books of the Bible to and why?

There is an entire series on Audible of Spurgeon's Devotional books. He has one from the Gospels, the Historical Books of the Bible, and my favorite.....the Song of Songs. They are all very good and are a good comparison to this book.

Have you listened to any of Christopher Glyn’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Christopher Glyn has become my favorite narrator! His voice is smooth and his inflections are lovely. He has a series of devotions to the Lord on You Tube, so Glyn's love for Jesus Christ is so apparent. He has an entire series that he narrates and I think he's the best narrator for these types of books that I've ever heard. You can hear the emotion coming through without being forced.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My heart is warmed and my faith and love in Christ Jesus is strengthened when I listen to this book (and the others in these series)

Any additional comments?

If you love the Savior and are trying to find out how best to use your time for meditation -- I really do recommend purchasing this book. I found after I did, that I bought the entire series. Thank you Charles Spurgeon for your devotion to our Lord. Thank you Mr. Glyn's for your continued devotion to Jesus Christ! God bless you!
