Publisher's summary

We all tend to hold onto things that have happened in the past. It can feel like we are pulling a cart behind us with all are troubles and worries; it slows us down, and we can become tired, depressed, even jealous, as life seems so easy for others.

All we need to do is let go of the cart, and we will feel lighter and free, but often we have held onto it so long that it has become part of us. Many of the people we know are also carrying carts, so it can seem normal. We talk about how heavy our cart is with anyone that will listen; at no point do we realize that we can set down that heavy cart that is keeping us from God's love.

We need to learn to let go. In this book, I will share with you stories of people who struggled with letting go and what happened when they did.

God is only in the present moment; he is not in the past or future. The moment that we let go of the past God will turn the page to the next chapter of our life, which will be much better than the last.

It will take courage and faith, but I invite you to take this journey with me. By the end of the book, God will shine a light into your life that will illuminate you to....

...the power of letting go.

Great idea, but fell short of my expectations

This books explains that you need to 'let things go' that are out of your control. Don't look back, look forward. Don't question why, just accept and let it go. However, it doesn't say HOW to let it go. He says 'don't get depressed,' 'accept things you cannot control.' What about the people who can't seem to let it go? People who have depression and anxiety (my anxiety actually got WORSE while listening to this book, since it was not explaining HOW to let things go!). It's not a real waste of time, since it's not very long, but I do think I could have used the time to listen to another book that explains the HOW part.

Flowchart

When you're in distress all hell break loose in your thinking and feeling. Even prayers don't seem to help. When you're drowning it takes only a simple thing like a wood to save you and make you afloat to survive....... Until help comes. Until you come back to your senses that all is well and this is not the end or the doom lurking in your mind. This audio is that simple wood for me. I don't need a complicated ship to get by. I just need. A wood to come back to my senses that all is well inspite of. Thanks to the author

no bull telling it like it is

I enjoy stories like this that are straight out and truthful instead of sugar coating and trying to make everything right in the world no matter if it's wrong or not

Good message

Good message, spoke to me. But easier said than done. Wish he’d given some ways to “ just let it go.” It was too short. 30 minutes. More like a pamphlet or message in a magazine or booklet.not book. Good but wish I had not spent my credit on it. : (
But I will let it go.....

short and simplistic

The narrator was fine. However, there's a reason this audiobook was only $2.76. The message can be summed up in two sentences. Don't worry; be happy. Everything will work out in God's time and in His way, not yours. There! I've just saved you $2.76.

I liked the book. It makes you stop and think

I am struggling with things going good in my life but I don’t feel like I am serving Gods purpose. I am not sure what that purpose. Finding out would require a step backwards. Sort of the opposite of the subject of this book
