Publisher's summary

Learn how God often does his best work in our most hopeless situations. What do you do when a shattered dream or an unmet expectation causes you to turn to Plan B? Pastor and author Pete Wilson uses real-life stories of disappointments and tragedy along with biblical stories such as David, Joseph, and Ruth to help listeners face their own overwhelming situations and through them to learn God is working to help them surrender their plans to receive his. He identifies our common responses to difficulties and offers hope, helping us to:

  • Understand what God might be up to
  • See how surrender helps us to receive God's plan
  • Embrace the community of believers
  • Reconcile a God of love with a life of tragedy and suffering

Wilson points listeners to the cross as not just the starting line but the centerpiece of our stories with God where we turn in our Plan B and find the undeniable relationship between crisis and true spiritual transformation.

A Must Read (Listen to) 😉

This is a wonderful book delivered with honesty and concern for real life situations that can deter us from continuing to trust and hear from God.

God is real and loves us and this author does an amazing job of sharing the character of God and how to trust and follow amidst pain and unknowns. He also does a great job of sharing the redemption God can do in our lives if we give Him the opportunity.

Offers No Hope

Pete Wilson has a soothing voice and is an excellent narrator, however, his book is replete with testimonials that offer no hope. I disagree with the idea that God is to blame for allowing EVERY tragedy. I will not recommend Plan B to my friends, but I do suggest reading some of his other books.

Gods perfect timing

I had no clue who Pete was until one day his Twitter post showed up randomly in my feed. Clicked on it and read about his new book, then I was intrigued by "plan b". Downloaded it on audio and in the first 5 minutes fell in love with Pete and his book. So thankful for the nudge of the Holy Spirit that day.

Touched my heart - inspirational - informative

Would you consider the audio edition of Plan B to be better than the print version?

Pete Wilson has a talent for talking as if straight to each individual person. Simplistic - lessons based on scripture and applied to today's questions. I can become "involved" with Pete on audio - which makes it so much more personable than reading the actual book.

What does Pete Wilson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Listening to the actual author is always more inspiring to me. Its easy with Pete Wilson to stay involved and look forward to moving deeper into his insight and lesson.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I particularly appreciated the story of the missionary family who gave birth to the deaf twins - and how it redirected their lives "in God's Way".

Any additional comments?

Audio books is my way to read. Either when I am on the road - or when I am painting or busy with tasks - I can still enjoy a good read. Otherwise I might miss out on so many good books.
