Excellent life changing book-horrible narrator
Life changing material. Many AHA moments.
He didn't read the book smoothly. Each word was read one by one rather than as reading a story. There was no intonation....monotonous. It was so bad that I almost returned the book, but the material was so good that I stuck it out. I would love to listen again, as I do with some books with such helpful information, but I cannot bring myself to tolerate the narrator again.
No. I drive about 500 miles each week so I listen while I am driving.
This is such an awesome book with wonderful, life changing material, but PLEASE, PLEASE get a different narrator. I believe this book will lose people it needs to reach only because of the narrator.
Good book, wrong narrarator
Dr. Henry Cloud, the author of course. My brain just couldn't make the connection to the voice of Michael Prichard even though he is an excellent narrator. Dr. Henry Cloud has a familiar voice in the way of a beloved uncle who tells interesting stories. The book could have been excellent but the cadence from a disciplined voice could not carry the heartbeat of the subject matter.
