I Think, Therefore I Am
The concept that undergirds this audiobook is quite intriguing: that miracles manifest themselves when our desires are made conscious. We are poor because our consciousness is "I AM poor". When we develop an "I AM wealthy" consciousness, wealth follows. The author claims the same is true with all desires.
The problem I had with this audiobook is that it was soooo heady! I don't have a problem with books that are intellectually demanding; that is NOT what I'm saying. This audiobook required me to follow the words SO intently that listening to it became laborious for me.
For me to enjoy a book, I need to connect emotionally with some aspect of the book. Sometimes it's the story. Sometimes it's how the author's personality shines through. Sometimes it's the images that are formed in my mind while listening-but there must be something!
Unfortunately, none of these things were true for me with this audiobook.
I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.
What?!? Not at all what I expected.
No. I just can't get over the fact that this book is basically telling us that WE are our own God and that God does not exist.
All of it?
There weren't any.
Yes. It inspires me to pray for this author. smh.
This is nothing what I thought it would be. I don't agree with this author at all. I believe there is a God (who is a higher being than any of us) and this author is nit-picking through the Bible and twisting the words to however he sees fit (as long as it makes himself out to be a God). His interpretation of the Bible and mine are VERY different.
