Chapter Designations

I have used the paper version of this devotional for several years. I was excited to be able to listen to it. However, if you don’t listen every day there is no easy way to go directly to the day of the year because the “chapters” are numbered rather than designated as month and day.

Three New Things Added

Any additional comments?

Excellent update. Three new things:

1. Passages from the Bible related to each entry.

2. Suggestions to put each entry into action.

3. Music.

Mostly I like the added passages from the Bible because they support each entry and, in some cases, offer greater understanding.

New format is not good. Print too small

New format is very unfriendly. How are we supposed to know that chapter 275 is Oct 1?
I try to read it every day but if I miss a day or two I must search chapters. I think this will discourage some people

First day but I like it so far

It goes from chapter 1-366. Each chapter corresponds to the day of the year. So January 1st is chapter 1 and December 31st is chapter 365.

Jesus calling audio

Very frustrating, need dates not chapters to follow Jesus calling a 32 week for those grieving. Probably won't use the two together . Make dates. And exchange the one I have.

Dates instead of chapter numbers

I love Jesus calling. With this version I do find it difficult to find the date of the day that I am on because it is listed by chapters. Is the dates could be substituted or added beside the chapters, that would be awesome!

No Dates Listed

I have Jesus Calling in Audible, Kindle, iPhone app, and book form. If I want to use Audible, I need to write bookmark notes for each date. The book lists chapters and not the dates.

Oversight or Disappointing Marketing Scheme

First and foremost, personally I found the physical book of Jesus Calling to be a life altering gift that has enriched my life in so many wondrous ways. I feel it's important to share my experience. My intention is not to cast a proverbial stone, nor is it to lecture. Simply freely sharing information & suggestions that I received, that served me well. That said, I find that allocating the time on a daily basis before I start each day,to sit, pray, meditatate & reflect on the readings 📚 are essential and integral factors in getting the most out of Sarah Youngs book.
Nevertheless, I also understand that in this fast paced, hustle and bustle world taking or making the necessary time to ground is illusive at best for some individuals. Like most humans, myself included, there are moments when we're we're so busy "doing", we often forget to just "be". So along comes Audible and provides us with a delightful alternative method to ingest information. However, in this case with this particular release (* the expanded version) When January 1st came upon me , I was surprised to discover that (* the powers that be ) chose to omit the reading for January 1st from the original Jesus Calling and opted to include in it's place an excerpt from Sarah Youngs other offering "Jesus Listens" . Upon first hearing this, my initial thought was "how nice" However, my contentment shifted to puzzlement when I realized, after searching, the publishers/producers, had indeed removed the Jesus Calling reading for January 1st.
In closing, I wondered, was this an oversight or a poorly executed marketing sham. Possibly designed to solicit listeners to purchase "Jesus Listens" .
Regardless and fortunately, Audible is a customer friendly company that offers it's subscribing clientele a refund on credits. Other than that, I concur along with many other reviews, the way this version was structured was also poorly conceived, as there are no date indicators. I can see how some may find this frustrating when navigating the chapters
