If I lived in Texas.....
If you are a Christian, and have never heard of this pastor-author from Texas, you're in for a treat! Why not start with this small book? I've read many of Max's books since I became a Christian over 30 years ago. Max Lucado has a God-given gift for communicating the Truths of the Word in a way that even a child understands. He has a way of taking the stories in Scripture and creating his own parallel story in a contemporary manner. In this book, for example, one of the stories is that of the old testament book of Ruth. He explains the background of the story and the plight of Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi. Then he explains how we are like Ruth, and how Jesus saves us as Boaz, Ruth's kinsman/redeemer, saved her.
I believe that his writing crosses denominational lines. Enjoy!

Concise, poetic, powerfully informative motivating
Written as only Max Lacado can, GRACE is a powerful, concise overview of the Biblical doctrine of God's grace in our lives. Lacado has the gift of making the complex understandable and reachable. The book is great for anyone, but perfect for those struggling with either their view of a "mean God" or of how they feel God views them.

Another great book by Max
So often we hear and learn about grace. Max however had been able to capture it in easy to understand language, with references to scripture to dazzle you. Not with his skill, but with the words and assurances that he may pass on from Him. Easy book to listen to, wonderful content to receive, and grateful treasure to live by. GRACE.
