Publisher's summary

When Terri Ann Leidich's 20-year-old son was suddenly killed in a vehicle accident, she was thrown into the roller coaster agony of grief. Adapted from the journal she kept through the experience of her horrendous loss, this book is a roadmap for parents who have lost children, as well as for those who are on the sidelines watching the agony of someone they care about go through the grieving process, and not knowing what to do or how to help.

Terri Ann's ability to put emotions and experiences into words that everyone can understand and relate to can shine as a beacon of hope and understanding during a time of excruciating pain.

WOW... EXTREMELY POWERFUL AND MOVING

I can't even imagine losing a child - I don't have any children myself, but I've lost my parents so that's the closes thing I can get, but it's not even in the neighborhood I'm of the devastation of losing your child. I suppose it's the ultimate test of faith. My heart goes out to Terri and I am inspired by her tremendous courage and love in writing this book. It's beautiful. The narrator also did a fantastic job of conveying the emotions and power of Terri's words. This book is truly a gift to all mothers out there who are battling similarly.... my love and prayers are with you all :) <3

Great Read

From a Grieving Mother's Heart by Terri Ann Leidich was a great read. Terri's son was twenty years old when he was killed in a motorcycle accident. Terri talks about her experiences after her son's death. This is definitely a book that can help others who are grieving the death of a loved one; even if it isn't a son or an accident that is the cause of death.

Sometimes words just fall short . . .

and this is one of those cases in attempting to review this story. I found this to be a very honest, compelling, and deeply moving work in many different way. The first hand emotional experiences and journey, by means of a mother's journal, brings to life the struggles, doubts, questions, and hope for the future. This is a book about faith, yet a faith so deep that it leaves room to question God and whether or not there is any reason to continue on after such a loss. Being a Christian book, written by a Christian woman, perhaps the best way to describe what this book is about is to quote, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing" (James 1:2-4).

A story of a mother's steadfastness in the testing of her faith to the max is told to near perfect by the narrator, Lisa Stroth. The emotions in her voice had me going back to check to see if it was the author narrating her own story . . . it was that powerful. I would highly recommend this listen to all that need hope, faith, and a reason to go on through any testing life brings.

To add anything else would only be mere words falling short . . .

A Mothers worst nightmare

This was a great one of a kind book about suffering and great grief over losing a child. She did a excellant job describing her feelings and questions she asked herself and GOD. My heart went out to her as a mother and made me aware of mother's I've known who have lost a child. She sums it all up with her question "How can anyone go through this without Faith." Great book and narration.
