Get ready for a surprise! You may want to jump and shout when you hear the sixth principle for knowing when you have found God's will.
The sixth principle is "Do whatever you want" as long as the first five principles are operating in your life. Listen to all six principles to better understand what the psalmist means when he urges, "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart" (Psalm 37:4).
Dr. John MacArthur, Jr., is pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, and president of The Master's College and Seminary. Known for his dynamic expository preaching. Great foundation for determining what to do.

This book guides the reader to get things right with God before trying to decide what to do which I agree is absolutely necessary. For some it will be freeing to be told, once a believer has the things scripture states are the will of God right, to do whatever you want. That's a lot easier to say than to do. Not just following scripture to a high level of holiness, but then trusting that the desire you have at that point is the right thing to do. While I agree with this in big decisions, I know I'm always wanting guidance in the small things from God and sometimes I don't know what I want. Overall, a really good book and one I plan to listen to again.

Another great book from John MacArthur

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Found: God's Will is not a 1,000 page tome-- it merely contains the widsom and substance of one.

What did you like best about this story?

The foundtional principles are supported 100% by God's Word.

What does John Haag bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

John Haag was fine as a reader; I can't point to any particular thing (except words here and there which should have been emphasized) and say his performance wasn't good. However, there are other people who would have done a truly outstanding job-- MacArthur himself (who possesses a very ear-pleasing radio voice), for example.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Loved the part about reading the Bible -- John's experience reading John and the whole 90-day macro experience. Definitely something concrete that we can put into practice.

Any additional comments?

Terrific book! Short, yet substantial!
