A powerful book on prayer, love and justice.
The testimonies and experiences shared in this are seriously encouraging that will tug at your heart to move your feet.
Pete Greigs has a wonderful style of writing and his narration is brilliantly done. I feel his words are anointed and is relevant to those who believe in Christ and those who don't.
I highly recommend this book :)

Incredibly thought provoking
I’ve been a Christian for over 40 years. I’ve read many books by people who have been moved to do remarkable things by the power of God - Wesley, Hudson Taylor, Muller etc. What makes this book so challenging is that we are reading of issues that relate to us in the here and now. I can read of the historic greats and learn patterns. In this book I’m forced to consider issues I see in people walking by; events on the news; issues in the wider Christian church.
Many, many examples of the power of prayer are highlighted and celebrated - which is fantastic. But for me the most powerful purpose of the book is to look back at the ‘great cloud of witnesses’ and to see how they work together with great moves that God is doing now. I’ve felt uncomfortable at times as I faced my own well ingrained views. But I couldn’t wait to read what would happen next and to enjoy looking at my own views again in a different light.
This book is well informed and intelligently written, but it is not heavy. It is long, but given the content, I would happily go back to the beginning and listen to it all again. A ‘must read’ for any Christian who wants to be challenged to a deeper and more effective Christian walk.

Hearing amazing stories of what God is doing, along side honest and forthright discussions of what it means to be a part of it all, and whether keeping on in ministry is the right way forward, has been a great encouragement.
