Publisher's summary

This course aims to help the student examine fundamental questions on the nature of the universe and human participation in it. Particular stress is placed on the answers offered by great thinkers through the ages. These answers are evaluated rationally, and in the light of Biblical revelation, in order to understand the principles of a Biblical worldview in comparison and contrast with other world views. This course will help you learn to articulate a reasoned defense of the philosophical foundations of a Biblical worldview. These lectures were given at Patrick Henry College in the spring of 2008.

Horrible

As a Hellenic Polytheist who just wanted to learn more about Greek Philosophy I am so disappointed. I'm disappointed that the motivation of teaching this class is to deconstruct traditional philosophy to convert people. Most of all I'm disappointed with how close minded this man is to claim Christianity is the one true religion. Amazon should take this book off their store or at least label it for what it really is, Christian propaganda.

Outstanding look at philosophy

This is a recording of a college-level philosophy class. The first lesson has s lot of organizational material. After that, hang onto your hat. It’s a grand overview, including philosophy of religion.

Not an introduction to philosophy

I am not anti-religion but a course on philosophy should not be a Christian leaning missive. This is more about Christianity than Philosophy. I would tread very lightly for a true Philosopher.
