The TV show in audible form

Would you listen to The Good Life, Volume 1 again? Why?

This is the TV show in audible - with the narrator filling in the parts that are visual - easy listening series

What did you like best about this story?

This is an easy listening series - I love the idea about leaving the rat race

What does Penelope Keith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

As she is one of the actors in the show- her narration does not sound out of

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

A few laugh out loud moments - but generally a contented listen

Whats old is new again...again 😆

Everyone is getting back into the idea of simple living, minimalism, living a focussed life etc. This beautiful comedy from 1970s(??) Britain is the perfect persuader for those still unsure. The characters are wonderfully acted, the episodes have just enough of a touch of realism to them. It is a tremendous listen and a worthy recipient of a full 5 star review! 👍
