If you want drift into the past and not worry about anything other than this story this is the series of total enjoyment.

Jerry Robbin’s wives always somehow die and he’s always in love
I very much dislike that Jerry Robbin’s always has to be this famous hero that kills a 100 men in one draw but otherwise I guess it’s ok
