Engrossing! Led me one way and then another...

What made the experience of listening to Ep. 13: An Intimate Conviction (West Cork) the most enjoyable?

This review is for the whole 'West Cork' series - all 13 episodes. I found them to be thoroughly engrossing - listening to the various parties involved - my thoughts changed as I listened through all episodes.

What does the narrator bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Listening to the two investigative journalists bringing their connections and interest - hearing the questions that the information posed for them made it a really thought-provoking experience.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Keeping at the forefront all the time that this was about a young lady's terrible murder in 1996.

Any additional comments?

Definitely worth a listen to. I couldn't wait to listen to the next episode.

Not a who dunnit, but a did he do it?

Would you consider the audio edition of Ep. 13: An Intimate Conviction (West Cork) to be better than the print version?

This is the final episode of what has been a gripping series, and the case is still not resolved. Like everyone else I want closure on this case, but at the time of publication it is still ongoing, which makes this episode even more interesting.

Have you listened to any of the narrator’s other performances? How does this one compare?

The narrators style was very engaging, along with the real clips of audio from the media of the day, and of course Ian's frequent contributions.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It took me four days to work through the series, I am glad I did, as I moved between guilty or not at various points.

Any additional comments?

In the end, I'm not sure closure will ever be reached on this case. Indeed I am left feeling that the most likely suspect was the horse! If you want to know why, you will have to listen to the whole series- it will be worth it!
