Motivating story from a true overcomer!!

Such a powerful story of overcoming the odds and denying the voice inside of us that tells us we aren’t good enough. Told oh so perfectly, my only criticism is that I would have loved to hear more! The story teller really is someone I can relate to, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to listen to her. Thank you for sharing!!!!!

Great stories, liberal bent

June Cohen manages to find wonderful personalities who both overcome adversity and teach us the lessons they learned in doing so.
In this story about a woman who grew up in tough urban environment, poverty is mentioned as the cause of her problems. The fact is is that she had hey horrible parent who is also a crack addict. Poverty didn’t help the situation but is surely not the cause of her horrible experience.
