Crooked story about a crooked house

Why do we blame the house which is inanimate object for the crooked behavior of the horrible people who occupy.

Great Listen

This story really was amazing. I never caught on to who the murder was and the further into the story it got the more I enjoyed it and felt the intensity to it. Great performance and wonderful book.

Loved it!

Where does Crooked House (Dramatised) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a dramatized version of the story, so if you're looking for the book -- it's not this one. but quickly add -- I enjoyed it immensely. I often listen to dramatized versions of Christie, Dickens, and other favorites when I am busy doing mindless work like laundry and cleaning. This one is a keeper, and what a surprised ending.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Crooked House (Dramatised)?

The end of course; shocking! The recording is punctuated with post WWII era music which I liked as well.

What does the narrator bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

These dramatized versions are second only to film.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The killer was a shock, and more than that -- the reasons given for their commission.

Any additional comments?

Highly recommend for the long drive; very affordable entertainment in my view.

Suspenseful!

This is a stellar performance of a full cast dramatization of one of Agatha Christie's best mysteries, which also happened to be one of her personal favorites. The adaptation is very faithful but there are some slight changes to the story. Highly recommended if you enjoy watching Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot mysteries on the television!
