concise truth about US & ISIS

Refreshing to hear the well thought, analytical and humane discussion from one who has looked into the eyes of the radical Islamists and realizes the world cannot work with them. He clearly states Islam is a religion of peace. He explains these radical Islamist believe they are working for their vision of Islam and they very smart and organized beyond what our present leaders claim them go be. Sadly our present leaders are afraid to say the words radical Islam. Yet the coalition that is joined against us includes members such as ISIS, Iran and Russia (who hate each other) because they see us as the enemy. This is no different than the battles of city states during the reformation...because sadly man's history is what it is. The failure of our leaders not to understand the enemy is minor compared to our leaders failure to respect our friends. The past 8 years proven that our leader got what he wanted when he said he does not want America to lead or win, but the voters got what they deserved when they voted for him. Flynn suggests we have a new chance and a future.

A great boom from a true professional. No lies in this book. He lays out the situation and the complete failure of our current national leadership to take the threats America faces seriously. Read this now, before the nov election.

Needs to be read by every citizen

I read it all on my flight back from Afghanistan. We share the same frustrations.

Somewhat Dated, but still largely relevant.

If you’re interested in learning about the fight against terrorism and radical Islam from someone with behind-the-scenes knowledge, buy this book. General Michael Flynn was a three star general in the US Army, with over a 30 year career beginning as a paratrooper, and at the time of this book relieved as D.I.A. head by the Obama administration. He details failures by the Obama administration and previous administrations to not name the villain and ideology that the western nations are fighting against, Radical Islam. Flynn also details what’s wrong with our strategy in fighting this enemy, why we failed in the past, and what to do about it in the future. He also makes the distinction between types of Muslims and the need for reformation within the faith. So spare us the cries of “Islamophobia!”. It may interest readers understanding the influence of Iran not just across the Middle East, but the rest of the world and how they’ve sponsored terrorism for so many years despite so much internal unrest. In short, this is an excellent book written by someone with extensive experience and fighting radical Islam. Many people don’t even know Hizbollah’s influence within the tri-border area in South America, Mexico and the drug cartels. Hopefully Presidential administrations now and in the future will name it, fight it, and stop playing the politically correct game, or worse ignorantly thinking they can cozy up to terror states like Iran.

The story you did not know.

Narrated by the author. Talked fast, but he is very passionate about the story. The fact that all these problems were brought on ourselves and we are now living from the Karma. it really starts from the invasion of Kuwait because of our petrodollar deal with Saudi.

Outstanding book!!

I LOVED this book! It is a must read for anyone who cares about the safety of yourself or anyone else. We the People need to be informed on what is really happening around us and not rely on the fake news media! I listened to the audio book which is a plus because it is narrated by the General himself, but after finishing it today, I ordered a paperback as well so I can thoroughly study the book. Great job, Gen. Flynn, and may your honorable name be cleared soon!!

A most important read!

Gen. Flynn and Michael Ledeen have authored a must read for every serious citizen of America who loves freedom. The last two chapters lay out a winning strategy to defeat radical Islam with clarity, courage, and a thoughtful strategy that should be employed to defeat radical Islam. I particularly enjoyed listening to Gen. Flynn's reading performance.

Finished in one day.

Great read. I am a fan for General Flynn, but even if you don’t know him or your not a fan; his book explains the terrorist threat of the Radical Islam. I found great leadership examples and advice as well. How to win was obviously my favorite chapter but I recommend not skipping the conclusion (if that is usually your thing). WWG1WGA
