Publisher's summary

How many people in America today are truly well-versed in the history of the Second Amendment, and why and how it was included in the Bill of Rights?

Dana Loesch gives her views on all that and much more, thanks to the research she offers in Hands Off My Gun. Fearless and fiery conservative talk show host, blogger, and TV commentator, Loesch digs deep into past, present, and future facts, attitudes, and actions regarding gun rights.

Hands Off My Gun is filled with research and detail. In addition to explaining why the Founding Fathers insisted on including the right to bear arms in the Bill of Rights, Loesch argues that "gun control" regulations throughout history have been used to keep minority populations under control. She also contends that current arguments in favor of gun control are primarily based on emotions and fear.

This narrative is a must-listen for every committed Second Amendment supporter. Dana Loesch is a determined and fierce advocate for those rights and shouts out with confidence: hands off my gun!

Excellent 2A Dissertation

Dana Loesch's book Hands Off My Guns successfully tackles and refutes every recent anti-2A reason given by those trying to take away our civil liberty. Dana's explanations and rebuttals are informative, funny and passionate. The audio version is great because you get to hear Dana's unique impersonations. Highly Recommended!

Arm yourself with the facts.

Meticulous and comprehensive explanation of guns, the laws that concern them, and the attempt to ban them. Read this book before you ever consider given ground to your rights. Use this book to debate the ill-informed who foolishly vote to abolish your 2nd amendment rights.

Fantastic ans VERY well documented

This lady did a wonderful job with her book and her own narration. I recommend it to all especially the "so-called" Progressives. Ha
Anyway Mrs. Loesch gives more factual information than any other writter I've read on the subject of wanna-be dictators trying to destroy the 2nd. Amendment.
If only the whole of the earth would read this book, not just law-abiding Americans but the nations that are now buried in the dictatorship governments they are forced to live under.
It would do them good to learn about their own anti-citizen governments and Americans to hold with "both hands" our Rights.

The smartest woman in America defends the 2A

What did you love best about Hands Off My Gun?

The details and historical references. This was very well researched and organized. Easy to listen to and follow. She brought in statistics from other countries that support her claims. She also brought a strong sense of hope for those of us who are very discouraged at the current state of our gun rights.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hands Off My Gun?

Any time she quoted a statistic that refuted claims of anti 2A types that "gun restrictions mean less crime". Example: when Chicago took everyone's guns away crime soared. When the Supreme Court deemed this unconstitutional and returned the guns the crime rates fell.

What does Dana Loesch bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her passion for the subject matter and courage. I'm also a big fan of her radio program and I love hearing her talk. Sometimes her over-articulation and over-annunciation can be annoying but she speaks as if she demands to be listened to and understood.

If you could give Hands Off My Gun a new subtitle, what would it be?

Guns: They're Not Just for Men

Any additional comments?

Thanks, Dana for riding shotgun with me during my commutes this week.

A factually correct enlightening entertaining trut

This book goes through and explains why guns aren't evil and why it is important that the founders believed these rights were given by God not by man. Very well written and well produced a must have for anybody who wants to be informed on the Second Amendment.

Empowering!!

Dana debunks all myths and lies about guns that are spread by the liberal gun grabbers...lies widely believed by many Americans who were never taught about guns or our right to keep and bear them. She provides history on gun grabbing and it's real purpose, and also the arguments by the framers on the importance of an armed society. Arm yourself with this book!

Makes the right points, but not much new

I already knew most of the stories and information in the book, especially in the first half. It's better for people wanting to learn about the issue rather than those actively staying informed. Dana reads the story well and with passion, but I really didn't like her reading tweets. I would never say "hashtag" in my head while reading and it gets really annoying hearing it over and over. An editor needs to come up with a better convention for audio recordings. I also didn't like the use of "2A" as a reference to the 2nd Amendment. Maybe it makes sense in the written form, but use the full words when reading. That said, I liked the book and would recommend it to people wanting to get informed about the anti-gun and anti-freedom activities that are underway today.

Nice job framing the discussion

Dana does an excellent job framing the anti-2A fight in the right context. My only critique would be that some of the material is repeated, but it is done for emphasis I'm sure. Good read and excellent performance. Her impersonation of that doofus British guy (P. Morgan) - was spot on. Jolly good! ;)
