Publisher's summary

Let Jamie Glowacki show you how potty training is done. Her six-step, proven process to get your toddler out of diapers and onto the toilet has already worked for 10s of thousands of kids and their parents.

Here's the good news: your child is probably ready to be potty trained earlier than you think (ideally, between 20 - 30 months), and it can be done faster than you expect. If you've ever said to yourself:

  • How do I know if my kid is ready?
  • Why won't my child poop in the potty?
  • How do I avoid "potty power struggles"?
  • How can I get their daycare provider on board?
  • My kid was doing so well - why is he regressing?
  • And what about nighttime?!

Oh Crap! Potty Training can solve all of these (and other) common issues. This isn't theory, you're not bribing with candy, and there are no gimmicks. This is real-world, from-the-trenches potty training information - all the questions and all the answers you need to do it once and be done with diapers for good.

So easy to listen to.

Great information that has helped beyond potty training. I feel confident that my husband and I are ready for this milestone. I will actually listed to it again before our start date, but we are already preparing for it by using some of her suggestions. I highly recommend this book.

Excellent title, humor, narrating. Great step by step instructions and no sugar coating. I definitely feel more equipped to take on potty training.

Perfectly Said

Most of the things she had explained or how to's happened! Everything in a situation and why it happens and what to do with it. Could not ask for a better book to help me potty train my child.

Highly recommend this for anyone with a toddler preparing to start training. A lot of this was common sense to me but helpful to have the reassurance

This eased my Twin anxiety

I was so worried about getting twins to use the potty. Another twin mom recommended this. I had my husband give a listen, too. And one took to the method easy peasy and the other a little longer... when the next baby tried to do it herself, we used the methods to get her on track... like too soon for underwear, back up ...

"Child from Hell"

Over all, I give this book a full on 5 stars. But there was one thing in the book that I did not fully agree with. Yes, there are snarky remarks, sarcasm, and jokes in the book, but one that I didn't have sit well with me is calling any kid a "Kid from Hell". I found that to be distasteful, because all children are beautiful, innocent children, and only act how they are taught. The processes and blocks displayed in the book are very much like my parenting style, a very healthy type of parent style, and will use this to my own terms.

Wonderful!

If you could sum up Oh Crap! Potty Training in three words, what would they be?

Enlightening. Inspirational. Useful.

Any additional comments?

The concept of potty training by taking away diapers all at once makes so much sense to me, especially after this book! I have recommended it to all parents in the middle of and looking toward potty training. I cannot imagine how frustrating the process would have been if I did the common training pants method. I highly recommend joining the Facebook support group, too!
