Exhilarating, Emotional, and Sexy!
This sixth book in the One to Hold series was exhilarating, emotional, and sexy. This is the first book in this series that I've read, and it was written so that I could enjoy it completely. Altho I am so intrigued by all the characters and want to start at the beginning, especially to find out more about Derek and Melissa! In this book Derek, who is the ultimate protective alpha, has fought hard for the love of his life, Melissa. They are so good together and are madly in love. But Derek has some secrets that could tear them apart and he will do what it takes to be the man Melissa deserves. Melissa is a strong, resilient woman and she is done with being kept in the dark. I really liked both Derek and Melissa. They had endured so much, and felt such guilt, yet they were finding the strength to build a new life. Their chemistry was off the charts and their passion was explosive. There are some great secondary characters who added so much charm to this story as well. This is a fast paced, suspenseful journey that is breathtaking, and sexy. What makes this story even more enjoyable is the wonderful narration by Lucy Rivers, and Christian Fox. They smoothly amplified each character, as secrets were revealed, making them even more intriguing. I was totally lost in this world as they made me feel all the doubt, fear, heartache, joy, and passion of this story.
