This episode of The Green Hornet first aired on September 7, 1946. The Green Hornet debuted on a Detroit station, WXYZ, on January 31, 1936, and later aired on the Mutual and ABC Blue networks until its final broadcast on December 5, 1952. The masked crime fighter was the secret identity of newspaper publisher Britt Reid, who relied on his valet, Kato, and a supercharged roadster, the Black Beauty. Al Hodge portrayed The Green Hornet during the series' first seven seasons, followed by Donovan Faust, Robert Hall, and Jack McCarthy. The series was created by the same team that brought The Lone Ranger to the air.

Crafty, well-written, and sensational!

What did you like best about this story?

The way Britt Reid put it to Oliver Perry, you have to listen to this one to experience it yourself!

Have you listened to any of the narrator’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, it is an amazing episode and I will enjoy listening to this one over and over!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The harshness of the sting at the end of the episode.
