A great listen if you like True Crime shows

Where does West Cork rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I'd rank this audiobook 8 of 10 for most interesting subject matter. I love watching true crime shows but listening to this book exceeded my expectation. Sam and Jennifer did a great job to provide not only the story but keep you intrigued and second guessing along the way.

What does the narrator bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought the narration and actual audio from the people involved was fascinating and I was captivated the entire time. The narrators were very careful not to allow their own opinions on the case slant the information they presented one way or the other.

Any additional comments?

I'd love to see more audio books presented in this same way, with real people about real events in time.

Not What I Was Expecting, but I Got Hooked

Not at all what I expected, but very interesting look at an ongoing investigation into a tragic crime. This is not a crime drama or a true crime book. This is an audio documentary following a real crime committed in a small, idyllic Irish town, akin to an episode Cold Case Files or Cold Justice...just without the video aspect. I got hooked right away and finished it in 2 days. Definitely worth listening to!

Riveting

Very good narration and a riveting story. Very well researched. Haunting landscape for a story like this.
