Publisher's summary

If the midterm elections were a declaration of war on the status quo, Rand Paul leads the battle charge. Voters fearful of growing government and debt have found voice in the Tea Party phenomenon, and the movement continues to deliver a message that Washington, D.C., has found impossible to ignore.

In The Tea Party Goes to Washington, the newly elected senator and self-described "constitutional conservative" explains why his party has to stand by its limited government rhetoric and why the federal government must be stuffed back into its constitutional box. Given the problems our nation faces, these are not mere suggestions, but moral imperatives.

Rand Paul and those who voted for him want to stop borrowing, end the bailouts and entitlements, and the spending. In The Tea Party Goes to Washington you'll learn:

  • The history of the Tea Party and why it isn't "extreme"
  • How both parties operate outside the Constitution
  • Rand's plan for a balanced budget
  • Why the Tea Party will endure

Now is the time to get America back on track - this is the moment of the new revolution that will take us back to our grass roots, to the country of our founding fathers.

It's a new day in Washington - as the Tea Party graduates from populist outrage to political influence, Rand Paul stands poised to become one of its greatest champions.

Loved this!

What did you love best about The Tea Party Goes to Washington?

Wow...so much! Rand understands what the Tea Party is about, and knows how to explain it to an outsider (me). He also understands what America is about and what the silent majority of American's want for this country.

Any additional comments?

I bought this right after Rand's drone filibuster. I wanted to hear more about what he thinks and feels about America and about what's currently going on in our country. Of course, some of the information is "old", as this book was released a couple years ago. However, it still seems very relevant, in things haven't really changed much, other than to get worse.

If you want to know more about Rand; why the Tea Party is the "laughing stock" of both parties and the media; and to be uplifted by knowing that SOMEbody in Washington finally understand us, then this is the book for you!

Great "Read"

Where does The Tea Party Goes to Washington rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

A great look into the political machine and how the elections go down from the other side. I look forward to more books from Rand about Liberty. Not my favorite by any stretch but gave me some other reading to do by suggestions he made.

Which scene was your favorite?

Him telling McConnell that their was another well known Senator that wasn't born in Kentucky.

Great story - wish Paul had read it though.

Rand Paul and his ideas are more than a fresh idea - they are the answer to many of this nation's issues.

As a constitutional conservative, I agree with much of Paul's ideas, though not all. Regardless, I think more liberals would agree with Paul if they'd only be open to read this book.
