    Interesting

The stories themselves were great. However, the narrator was mediocre at best. Very robotic and mono tone, in addition to speeding through the stories. His lack of any emotion in comparison to the very emotional testimonies he was reading kind of crushed it for me. Wouldn’t recommend

One sided experiences from a Christian point of view.

The author only tells experiences where the person who committed suicide experienced he’ll supposedly as a result of committing the sin of suicide.

I have heard of many suicide NDE s where the person only experiences heaven and the presence of God. Also, not all NDE s result in the person seeking out God or Jesus from a Christian understanding. These experiences were left out and leads the reader to believe that they will be punished in hell for committing suicide. I would have enjoyed a rather mixed set of stories instead of stories that had the same theme and ending.

    100 percent religious propganda

they should be more honest in the tags on this book!

I have been curious about near death my whole life but after a couple of deaths and a close call I wanted to read this. if you are looking for how Jesus saves people and the suicide is the most awful decision ever. I'm sorry but nursing homes are the 6th level of hell and in places medical suicide is available nursing homes are not what they are here. my point, hell exists here too. if the religion thing is what you want, this is your book. if not don't waste 1 single minute, I want my 30 minutes back

A flat reading of a religious focused narrative.

I've read and listened to a lot of books regarding suicide and near death experience. I find the topic simultaneously calming and fascinating. however this book focus on those who already had religious background or beliefs in some way - and every single story is the same. try to kill themselves, meet Jesus/god, come back a changed person. Couple this with a flat reading from a voice I honestly thought was robotic at first, it makes for a dull, samey experience the entire (short) length of this book.

a much better book on the subject is "The day I died - Remarkable true stories of near-death experiences" by Tammy Cohen.

don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against religion. I grew up in a very religious family and went to private religious schools. I just think a little diversity in the peoples stories told in this book is necessary.

    Bunch of crap

This is just someone making a pitch for Christianity, and it makes me wonder how many NDE's they didn't include because they just didn't like that it wasn't so obviously dogmatic. It's a worthless book and I have less respect for Audible for selling me this crap!

only listen if you want to hear Christian stories

near death experiences are unique and yet somehow each one of these people met Jesus! despite the existence of many deities on this planet. weird, huh? there is more time spent emphasizing the need to follow Jesus than the experience of death
