Short book but overall a good one for any one interested in sectarianism in Iraq and Syria.

An insightful introduction in a small package

For a small investment of time and money, I got a good view of who is in ISIS, and where they came from (territorially and historically). Questions are answered, for example, where did they get their military prowess? Also correspondingly, what went wrong on the other side in places like Mosul, in which a superior (in numbers and equipment) Iraqi national military force fled and the place fell like ripe fruit into ISIS's hands?
