Publisher's summary

Thailand - Man Heaven? Or Man Hell? It's really as the Thai say "Up To You". You'll see plenty of books on kindle talking about the visible sex trade in Thailand. When you mention Thailand to many people that's the first thing that springs to mind.

I'm not a genius but I can guess if you are looking at this book the chances are you are interested in seeing for yourself. The book is not the assassination job that the headline may suggest - it was based upon interviews with people that work in the trade.

It was interesting to hear their point of view and the practical issues that they face every day. Yes, they have problems with clients - but just as often they have problems with other people in the background of the trade, and other bar workers.

There's times when things can get wild and out of control - times when people in the trade pay a high price for being involved - and times when people wonder how they can go on.

There's a long list of chapters in the book and while I don't pretend that every word in the book will be relevant to you, there's no doubt that you will gain a ton of knowledge by listening to it. I suppose if you only learn one new thing that prevents you from making a costly mistake the book will be worth it.

There's a very straightforward line in the book that is the gold standard as to how to conduct yourself if you travel to Thailand to take up with ladies of the night. That line is also the last line in the book. Learn it, recite it, and never forget it and you will find Thailand to be Man Heaven. Ignore it and welcome to hell.

Once again that's up to you. I know what I would prefer.

A Message of truth here that all men need to hear

Where does Thailand: The Vicious Truth About Thai Hookers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is a little rough at times, in language and content, but it has a message for all us guys who want to visit Thailand and who have visited. A few years back I could have used this book before I went on my first visit to Thailand.
Throughout the book the author tells us why we should not trust that smiling bargirl and why it is just a business for bargirls. He uses solid examples and it is difficult to argue with the logic he puts forth. It made me think of how close I had been to losing a huge pile of cash in the past and gave me some tips on how to avoid getting scammed.
I recommend this to any guy who is thinking of rescuing their favourite bargirl

Do not buy, garbage

What disappointed you about Thailand: The Vicious Truth About Thai Hookers?

This is a very poorly written, badly assembled, repetitive load of garbage. The author purports to expose the truth about the subject but what we get is a disjointed list of generalisations, half truths, misinformation, straight out lies interpersed with a few truisms. The problem is if you hve no personal knowlrdge of the subjrect you do not know which is which. The author presents as a bombastic, know all, self important, smart arse, ignorant idiotic. You will find several of this type in any bar in Thailand. They make you make you cringe with embarrassment and give tourists a bad name in Thailand.Similar girls in their the men's own country would not give them the time of day. The only redeeming fact is that the girls recignise this and play them off a break. No wonder he writes under a pseudonym. He is a uneducated half witted moron.

Would you ever listen to anything by The Blether again?

Never

Would you be willing to try another one of Ron Herczig’s performances?

He is very average but had little to work with. As the text is written in the first person one cannot help but identify him with the author.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Thailand: The Vicious Truth About Thai Hookers?

All of it.

Any additional comments?

You should remove this and any other books, an I use that word loosely, written by the author from you catalogue. I have removed it from mine

Useless

Accidentally purchased tried to listen but useless information for me. Sad that so many women are subjected to this life style.
