Publisher's summary

In Reincarnation: Past Lives and the Akashic Records, Lois J. Wetzel, MFA, has written the long-awaited sequel to her first book, Akashic Records: Case Studies of Past Lives. Yet Reincarnation takes the listener on a trip to the past like none other. Once again, riveting stories of the past lives of scores of different people are narrated followed by the clients' feedback of how the readings related to their current lifetime.

These past lifetimes may go back just a few decades or as much as hundreds of thousands of years on Earth, allowing the listener glimpses of long-lost civilizations not contained in historical record. In this book, unlike the first, the author challenges our ancient history as wrong, giving ample examples of proof we have lived on this swirling ball of minerals for hundreds of thousands of years! She also cites current new information indicating recent scientific discoveries which may support the reality of reincarnation.

Past lives of famous people are briefly covered, as well as the fascinating topic of parallel and overlapping lifetimes. There is great richness in this book, a richness that helps others to understand the true nature of reality, as well as the importance of knowing more fully who we are by learning about our own unique forgotten pasts. Everyone we have ever been contributes to who we are today.

Compelling book to open minds

While I had previously read the ebook version of this book, I really enjoyed listening to it in this new audible form. Because it is episodic and esoteric, it was really good to hear the various past life readings again and the lessons they offered. I was especially impressed with the nonjudgmental manner of the author/practitioner toward her clients and their past lives. She offers wisdom and guidance in a very clear manner. The stories are fascinating and simply amazing. The narrator does an excellent job of capturing the sense of the author. I enjoyed listening to the book as I went about my daily chores. Highly recommended for the metaphysical thinker.

Past lives are real but this is garbage and fraud

I absolutely love other past life work by say Edgar Cayce, Michael Newton, Brian Weiss, but as soon as I started listening to this book, even before it got to the meat of it, it just felt off, it felt like a fraud, kind of like written by a new age person that has no psychic gifts. It felt like this person just charges money, closes her eyes, starts imagining things, and then relays as if she sees legitimate past lives. I have no doubt that the author believes in the legitimacy of her work, but I strongly felt on some intuitive level that it's not legit. I meditate more than 4 hours per day, every day, and been regularly meditating for more than a decade. I have had many past life memories open up in meditation, dreams, and had regressions done with astonishing results, just in terms of how real everything was, and I actually felt things in my physical body from the lives I was being regressed to, so I am certainly a believer, but with this book and this author, I just developed this knowing and feeling on the deepest level that it's not real or legit. I stopped listening to the book after less than 1 hour, and this is the first time in my life that I will actually be requesting a refund from audible, because I simply do not wish to support such type of work. I decided to research further, and found quite a few people that were regressed into past lives and love other past life books that feel just like me that this lady's work is not legitimate. Interestingly enough, she herself states that if you want a reading from her, her guides will not be able to open up or confirm the past lives you already know about, that she'll only reveal past lives that you don't know about, that she will not answer specific questions about past lives you already know, and she insists that there can be many past lives that happen during same period of time. This all sounds to me like excuses and tricks by someone with no real psychic abilities, who is trying to make sure that her abilities are never put to a real test. Other legitimate psychics such as Edgar Cayce would never put such restrictions and even welcome and pass through such tests.

Channelled Regression vs Being Regressed

What about Sara Morsey’s performance did you like?

She has nice grandmotherly voice, very sweet and comforting.

Any additional comments?

I have been regressed into a past life myself and currently I am studying to become a hypnotherapist at a state certified school in the US. I think the book was good and if you have a desire to see how a past can be channeled you should buy the book. However, if you want to explore your own past lives - I would recommend going to a past life hypnotherapist. Having been regressed into a past life I can tell you that you can obtain a lot more information directly from the source. Each regression is different and mine was profound for me at the time. I felt the feelings of being in that life and with my friends there in that life that words cannot convey. If there is some reason you cannot do a regression yourself then get a channeled regression. However, if you are able, get regressed and go there yourself, smell the smells, see the sights, experience your lives for yourself.

A treasure for my library!

This book is wonderfully insightful, whether the reader is a newcomer to the concept or longtime advocate of Reincarnation. Ms. Wetzel is imminently respectful and non-judgmental of her clients. As she shares each reading, we are gently reminded that, indeed, we are spirits gifted with a body who only come into this Earthwalk each time to live, love and learn.
I listened to several of the readings multiple times. The material is thought-provoking as one begins to realize that there is much wisdom to be gleaned from the experiences of others: we don't have to live each and every trial ourselves to benefit on a very practical level! Likewise, Ms. Wetzel offers some helpful suggestions on how to integrate this knowledge to heal.
On the whole, I am extremely pleased with this new addition to my library, and I plan to share the blessings with my loved ones for birthdays and Christmas!

For Entertainment Only

If you are like me, you may listen to this book, sit in awe of the detailed past lives and stand amazed at the author's alleged gift. You, like me, may even want to get a past life reading from the author as she appears to promote just that by writing these books. I purchased a reading and not only did it not resonate, but it lacked clarity and cohesion. Which brings me back to this book and her others. The stories in this book are nothing like a reading you actually get from the author. So, if the premise of this book is based on an actual gift Lois has, then I question whether this is a work of fiction. Further, if this is in fact a work of fiction, I question whether the healing benefit that one could obtain from reading this book is actually still present. If you are open to the possibility that accessing your past lives can be achieved but that this author is not the way to do that and thus, these stories are untrue but entertaining nonetheless, then read away.

Terrible- Not worth the purchase

I honestly struggled to finish this book. This woman is not believable. It appears as though she is making this up as she goes along. I have studied New age Religion and Spirituality for a while. I have read books about Edgar Cayce, Dr. Brian Weiss, Ian Stephenson, Neale Donald Walsh and so many more credible authors. This is one of the few times I felt as though I was being defrauded by someone looking to make a quick dollar off of gullible people. I kept listening hoping it would get better but it didn't. I regret this purchase.

Love this book couldn't get enough!

Great information, love listening. Readers voice is lovely. I could have listened to this book for hours. The readings on past life are honest and so descriptive. The replies to the readings made this book even more interesting. I could not turn it off. I am re-reading this book for sure. Hope more books from Lois are to come. 10stars superb writing, excellent content! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Author has to be Clinically Insane

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Anybody that believes creationism.

Would you ever listen to anything by Lois J. Wetzel again?

I would not listen to anything by this author again.

What didn’t you like about Sara Morsey’s performance?

Nothing.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Nope. The author is clearly clinically insane.

Any additional comments?

Anybody that has the slightest bit of common sense and critical thinking skills would conclude anything from this author to be a complete farce. Dinosaurs and humans alive at the same time.... seriously? Paleontology has proven otherwise, repeatedly. This is simply another creationist nut case. Or is scam artist feeding on the lack of intellect of others.

I Don't Think So

I know I'm swimming upstream here, but I found this book to be trash. Anyone could make up the stories offered as "evidence" of past lives. I don't question the possibility of reincarnation, only the stance taken by Lois Wetzel as a reader and interpreter of those past lives.

Eye opening!

I hung on to every word of this book! I'm so glad I listened to this in an audio version so that I could really soak in the concepts that the author shared. Absolutely fascinating!
