Publisher's summary

Let's be honest: there's an inner psychic in all of us. There are times when we become fascinated with things like death, ghosts, after life, and well, Ouija boards.

If you're curious about what will happen should you touch and play with a "talking" board, then you have come to the right place.

There's a story about a boring séance which yielded scary results. There's one about a mother who dared "Satan" even after her dead father warned her not to play with the board. Another is about an 11-year old who failed to play by the rules. One story featured is about a woman who was tricked by the spirit to torture her husband....

I'm sure you're excited to hear all the stories here, but before you proceed, let me ask you this question: are you brave enough to perform a séance using the talking board?

Want some chills? Then download this book now!

Flat

Any additional comments?

I couldn't finish this one. These are not scary stories (though they are "ghost stories"). Neither the writing nor the narration help elevate the short tales. I found them dry and flat.

Simple Ouija stories

This book was interesting, but very simplistic. I hoped for more, but it is a short book so I felt that it was worth my time.

Scary but not over the top

I can watch ghost 'stuff' on tv and not be very affected but rarely read or listen to it. It's so much more personal and scary. I am fascinated by the Ouija board and remember playing with one when I was a kid. After learning more about it, I think I am a lucky person that nothing terrible happened to me or my family after playing. This audio book kept the drama to a reasonable degree and the stories have not haunted me...yet. It was very interesting and I would definitely listen to more on this topic.

What would have made Ouija Board Stories better?

"This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom."

I was unmoved by this audiobook, unfortunately it was not entertaining at all. I was glad that it was as short as it was.

Good stories for Halloween

This had some good stories. A better narrator would have improved my listening enjoyment. His voice had little to no emotion. I received this for free in exchange for an honest review.

A great book for Halloween

Would you consider the audio edition of Ouija Board Stories to be better than the print version?

I find all audio books better if they are mystery, adventure or Horror. A huge part is the narrator as they set the all important pace

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ouija Board Stories?

It a series of shorts stories and so without giving away a story I will encapsulate the tone of a few of my favorites. The story was about a family that started to play with the spirit board.. They started to have issues such as sleep paralysis, heavy breathing. The woman told her mother and she said don't play with it anymore and did some prayers to get rid of the bad mojo, Seems the family had past issues with spirit boards in the past

What about Paul Stefano’s performance did you like?

His pace. To make an audio book scary one has to set the pace and mood. The narrator was very good at it starting form the beginning with a warning ; I knew it would be good

If you could give Ouija Board Stories a new subtitle, what would it be?

Terrifying encounters with things that go bump in the night

Any additional comments?

A great audio book to set that Halloween scary mood. Not overly long making it perfect for a scary evening

Ouija Tales!

Having had Ouija experiences of my own, I could not resist this book. It was well written, if a little dry, but most of the stories included elements of my own experiences with a Ouija board. I would have preferred not to have every story outlined in the prologue, as it seemed to give away too much, since they were only short stories. The narrator was great, and I would be happy to listen to him again, and would give the author another listen as well. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Quick and creepy leaves you looking for more

If you watch scyfi network you will be reminded of the paranormal true story horror shorts they have. Covers many situations briefly and even has a short about the true story that inspired the exorcist movie. Only downfall was the lack of meat to the stories. They were but a few minutes each. I would have liked to know some more about the different scenarios. I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookboom in exchange for an unbiased review
