Publisher's summary

Here is the myth-shattering exposé that reveals the truth behind the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—shocking and controversial revelations from James Earl Ray's attorney.

On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stepped out onto the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, and into his killer's line of fire. One shot ended Dr. King's life and forever changed the course of American history—setting into motion a massive cover-up that has withstood a quarter-century of scrutiny. After 18 years of intensive investigation, William F. Pepper has torn away the veil of subterfuge that has hidden the truth surrounding King's death—proving the innocence of convicted assassin James Earl Ray and revealing the evil conspiracy behind the murder of our nation's greatest civil rights leader.

Fantastic read. His second book I’ve read I think he’s honest.

William pepper has the facts to back up what he writes and that’s why I listen. I think MLK Jr and the Kennedys were killed by our govt. And there’s plenty of proof.

Corruption at its worst

Awesome investigation. After reading I'm very surprised that Dr. Pepper remained alive to investigate and tell of this awful, deplorable coordination of the assassination of one of Americas greatest change agents: MLK

Very Informative

Deep down I’ve always felt and knew Dr. MLK murder wasn’t told in full and that it was more people involved. I knew it had been well planned out and that some people in his own camp were involved with helping set it up. I also felt it’s always been a cover up even too this day.

This book just help put a lot of things in better perspective on the roles certain people or organizations played.

The Establishment, Intelligence, FBI, LBJ Alliance to Kill Dr. King

Well written and researched book. Massive cover up of the infiltration of King's SCLC. Pepper's research discovered King was a doomed man as far back as the Selma, Alabama Civil Rights March.

Rambling, confusing, horrid, blather!

Someone threw feces against the wall -- let it dry -- then peeled it off in shreds and let it fall to the ground, picking it up like a two-year-old with the Dead Sea Scrolls. What a bunch garbage. Try Hampton Stiles's treatment of the subject. It's coherent. The reader btw was poorly chosen. What a muddle.
