Disappointed Read

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Although not originally from Boston, I have lived here for 15 years now and was familiar with the Stuart case because of the global attention it drew as it unfolded in 1989. In purchasing this book, I had hoped it would provide a detailed and investigative account of the Stuart case and its impact on the city of Boston. In reality, these issues are covered at a superficial level and the author's sources appear to be the newspaper articles that were written at the time. Rather than investigative, the lack of substance in this book leads me to believe that this was likely a rush publication meant to cash in on the intense interest in the Stuart story.

Has Murder in Boston turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, but I am going to do a better job of researching the books I buy from this genre.
