Astounding

What made the experience of listening to Logic, Philosophy, and Psychoanalysis the most enjoyable?

I loved the dialogues!

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The quickness, the sharpness. Sound quality not so good, though.

What about J.-M. Kuczynski’s performance did you like?

The intensity. He needs a new mike, however.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Too long, too much info for one sitting.

Any additional comments?

One of the most insightful things I've ever 'read'. And witty too. entertaining. Like Plato, sort of.

A hodgepodge of philosophical ruminations!

Would you consider the audio edition of Logic, Philosophy, and Psychoanalysis to be better than the print version?

I believe that the audio version might have the advantage of surprise over some listeners insofar as the "dialogical" sections would be better suited to audio format. On the other hand, the print version might be preferable in terms of reviewing some very succinct, mathematical definitions, particularly about the nature of sets, before moving forward in the text. Thankfully, the material presented is not done so in such a linear or progressive fashion that would make such textual recourse necessary.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have to confess that my favorite character was the hypothetical interlocutor who quizzes the primary author about Norma Jean Gradzy's reaction to his work on Kant. This was fairly stimulating!

What about J.-M. Kuczynski’s performance did you like?

The author/narrator engages in a very interesting trick which I have never seen or heard of before, namely, that of recording his own voice in different "poses" or attitudes when he is recording the dialogues. Very creative. Thus, he pulls off slightly different vocal styles and he works toward expanding his range of communicational styles in this work.

If you could give Logic, Philosophy, and Psychoanalysis a new subtitle, what would it be?

Actually, I felt that the existing subtitle was a tad lackluster. I would go with something more along the lines of "Succinct Definitions for Modern Man" or "Analysis of Key Issues for a Sound-Byte Generation."

Any additional comments?

While the author appears to be heavily dependent upon Freud and his school of psychology for many of his insights and definitions in the "psychology" chapters of this work, there are enough broad-based psychological discussion to be of assistance to the undergrad student who may be about to take a Psychology 101 course or something comparable.

Very good, but a bit oversexed

Would you consider the audio edition of Logic, Philosophy, and Psychoanalysis to be better than the print version?

Dramatically, since it is, in fact, drama. It is drama pretending to be philosophy, or maybe it's philosophy pretending to be drama. But, no, it's the former.

Puzzling

Disjoint. No coherent narrative. No context. Enumeration of logic propositions read as a list for what reason?
