Ghost Stories Safe for Kids and Puerile Adults

Perfect for families or younger children who 'think' they like very scary stories. (There is a feeling of authenticity to some of the stories-primarily thanks to the narrator.) There are a few scenes where things get a little intense, which I think is perfect for the kids. For the kids of the 80's and 90's, you'll know what I mean when I say it isn't as scary as 'Are You Afraid of the Dark' but spooky enough to let them feel like they are being 'let in' on the horror genre. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Entertaining

I listened to this on a rainy Sunday afternoon on my porch sitting in a rocking chair looking at the mountains with my dogs beside me.
It was most enjoyable.

It was ok.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Kind of, I have been trying to listen to an ebook every Sunday. This gives me time to cross stitch, but still get reading time in :-)

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The last story was the best one!

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Fascinating

I loved this collection of stories of actual events from Willow Cross. Being a huge fan of Willow's at first I wasn't sure I was going to like Abby Elvidge's narration as she didn't sound like I expected Willow would, but it only took about 5 minutes for her to win me over. Each one of these stories had me completely engrossed but I think the little girl in blue and the jar of pennies were my favorite. I really like the story with Annie and the wee-jee board but I don't remember what that one was called.

Great collection of ghost stories

Which character – as performed by Abby Elvidge – was your favorite?

I liked all the characters that Abby Elvidge performed, she is a natural storyteller!

Any additional comments?

This was a great collection of stories, and I would recommend this box set to anyone who likes ghost stories that are more realistic, not a bunch of Hollywood effects type stuff. There's nothing really horrifying to them, but just creepy enough to make you think. I really enjoyed them!

Great Ghost tales. <br />

I truly believe that ghosts exist. This library of tales just helps me verify that. These tales are to awesome to be made-up. The narrator did a very good job .

Campfire and Sleep Over Ghost Stories

Would you try another book from Willow Cross and/or Abby Elvidge?

yes I would

Would you be willing to try another book from Willow Cross? Why or why not?

yes I would. This was not one of my favorites listens, however it was entertaining and would be good for family car trips, campfire tales and pre-teen sleep overs.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes it did.

Could you see Haunted Library Box Set being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Maybe a kids tv show. No thoughts about the stars.

Any additional comments?

This was a collection of supposedly true ghost stories which included weird and unexplained eerie happenings, ghostly apparitions and so forth...

It was an entertaining light listen and too scary. It would be great for campfire tales and pre-teen sleep overs.
