What would have made Digital Consciousnes better?
I am in the digital field and regular devour audible books often one a week and have listened to over 60 and this book was the most dreadful ever! All it is is a series of description of emotional responses to online and social media platforms. It is like listening to a 6 year-old complain the child did not get enough likes on Facebook. This author says she wants to teach but I can't help but wonder "what the hell can you teach when you understand nothing about reality beyond what makes one cry or laugh (although not much laughter in this horrible rendition of emotional dribble). This book makes clear how people of history will willingly engage in book burning, in fact in the case of Digital Conscious it may be a public obligation. I gave this book one star but it does not deserve that. DO NOT BUY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Dr Seuss would be an intellectual step up from this work of garbage.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
After scrolling from chapter to chapter and unable to find even a slight glimmer of intelligence I have to say common sense is what distracted me from this book.
What character would you cut from Digital Consciousnes?
The author Tenille Bentley, she apparently had some business success and she emotionally assumes that makes her somehow wise, despite the overwhelming abundance of literature indicating material success has nothing to do with success as a person.
Any additional comments?
I think I need to take a shower after listening to this crap.
