Publisher's summary

The signs are everywhere. China unilaterally claims the entire South China Sea as sovereign territory, then builds artificial islands to bolster its claim. It suddenly activates an air defense identification zone over the East China Sea, and threatens to down any aircraft that does not report its position. It builds roads into Indian territory, then redraws the maps to show that it is actually Chinese territory. The People's Republic under President Xi Jinping is quickly becoming The Bully of Asia.

Eye opening, up to date

Wow. I, like most Americans had no idea of the extent of the problem. Hopefully some of our professors, politicians and diplomats will read this book. A lot of the headlines make sense in light of the facts relayed. I expect this book is probably banned in certain parts of Asia.

Great listen

The narrator is now my favorite narrator. He kept me interested in what is already a great book. I'm gonna play it over just for memories sake, but it's informative.

Excellent!

Most riveting book I've listened to in some time. Time to get real about China.

More than a Bully

More alarms should be sounding for all the deceit, deception & dishonesty emanating from the CCP.

The CCP's inexorable march toward world domination is laid out in as plain terms as language permits.

Sadly, this march is presently trampling to death all the Chinese people who would wish for nothing more than to own their own thoughts, actions and decisions.

Highly recommend The Bully of Asia.

Decent

While the author raises many points, it’s nothing new for “China watchers” or really anyone who takes interest in east Asia. What does come to the forefront though about halfway through is the authors personal grudge with China and his political leanings. Not quite an exposé or really much more than personal beliefs of the author. It’s well known China’s mal-intentioned actions. If you’re new to the study of east Asia, specifically China this would be a good read (or listen) for you though.

Required Reading

Learn why China is the greatest threat to Anerica, the world’s democracies and freedom. The CCP subverts its own population and now is seeking to do the same to the world. Americans should understand these facts and work to ensure that China in the end will fail.

Excellent book

A great book on the modern China mind set. I wish our leaders would read and heed!

Must read

It’s a must read and in addition to this you should listen to dan Carlin’s hardcore history podcast. It fills in gaps on before and backs up what the author says.

Absolue must-read

While I had my suspicions on the subject and also read/listened to several books about FBI fighting against intellectual property theft by Chinese, this book really put all that in perspective and explained the huge problem USA and the whole world have with China. The book explains and shows on examples from Chinese history for the last several thousands of years how Chinese view the world, their role and place in it, what are their morals, principles and how they are different from ours -- I mean in the Western Civilization, some times referred to as Judeo-Christian values. For any one who would like to understand the problems of the world, economy, foreign policy and our future -- this is a must read/listen.

Must-read book for understanding China's ambitions

A thorough analysis of the Chinese Communist ambitions in the world, based in the author's deep understanding of Chinese history, culture, and mindset. This book should startle American readers; Communist (more like Stalinist-fascist) China loathes us, openly so. What will we do about it, given how many nice, plastic baubles they make for us?
