Publisher's summary

With A Woman's Worth, Marianne Williamson turns her charismatic voice--and the same empowering, spiritually enlightening wisdom that energized her landmark work, A Return To Love-- to exploring the crucial role of women in the world today. Drawing deeply and candidly on her own experiences, the author illuminates her thought-provoking positions on such issues as beauty and age, relationships and sex, children and careers, and the reassurance and reassertion of the feminine in a patriarchal society.

Cutting across class, race, religion, and gender, A Woman's Worth speaks powerfully and persuasively to a generation in need of healing, and in search of harmony.

Highly recommend to all women (and even men)!

I purchased the audiobook and Marianne is by far the best narrator I've listened to. She talks fast and full of passion and attitude. Just my style. On top of that this book is really one of those must read for women and even men to help us remember who we are. so many of us suffer from low self esteem, jealously, sadness, anger etc... the list goes on. Mariannes words put all that ego back into proper place and help jump start the retraining of our mind the right way... the divine way.

Every women should hear!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of A Woman's Worth to be better than the print version?

Yes! Marianne Wiliamson delivers this story masterfully!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Woman's Worth?

I listen to this book nearly every morning as I get ready for work, but most memorable is the when she speaks of female oppression she states "the world despises you," followed buy a faint whisper, "but God adores you". I get chills as my eyes tear up every time!!

What about the narrator’s performance did you like?

Flawless. She delivered perfectly!

What did you learn from A Woman's Worth that you would use in your daily life?

Good Lord the list goes on, all I can say is "you should find out for yourself"

A beautiful reflective book!

I love that this book causes me to look deeper within! After hearing this audio I desire to honor not only myself but, all my relationships in a new way. Who will I blossom into with the knowledge of the beauty strength and power of an authentic feminine spirit?

Inspiring. A must have.

Quite a gem. Explains much of the social and cultural thought of woman ...a theme behind many of the difficulties I've encountered in my life. Glad to know it's not been just my experience all this time! We are all in the same boat and can all make it to shore!

Superficial and a waste of time

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I really didn't like this book. It reminded me of an angry Nancy Grace giving a sermon on clichés about women.

Has A Woman's Worth turned you off from other books in this genre?

Definitely not. I am an avid reader about personal growth and am always looking for great reads in this area.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I didn't like the way she narrated this book. To me, it was too emotional and angry. Totally inappropriate.

What character would you cut from A Woman's Worth?

This question isn't really relevant but since this is a self-help book for women, I think she should have thought about the range of her audience more. This book was really aimed towards women who have recently been jilted and need a boost. Not everyone falls into this camp.

Any additional comments?

I know this author is supposed to be good but since this was the first book I have listened to by her, I am going to be more careful the next time. She kept referring to summoning the goddesses within, and praying to God, and waiting for the day when women will all rise up and give their love to the universe. It was just so preachy and silly. It left me cold and I am a woman who has worked, loved and lost, and loved again, and have had issues to deal with like anyone else. But I guess fundamentally I'm just not that angry and didn't need someone lecturing me about how hard-done by we all are and how a new age is going to strike any minute. It sounded like something a cult leader would say. No thanks.

Profound and inspiring

A woman is worth, it all! So much more than we know. Feminine power is needed, in healing ways, in ways that bring us together and heal.

Thank you! Just what I needed!

Beautiful!!

Marianne has a talent for speaking about the feminine. Her articulation and view on what a woman is, will surprise you in the best way. This book is a classic. It is so compact with rich ideas that you'll probably find yourself reading it again and again. I have and I will! Enjoy!
