Publisher's Summary

Newly available evidence shows that the CIA engaged in pervasive political meddling and paramilitary action in Congo during the 1960s - and that the local CIA station chief directly influenced the events that led to the death of Patrice Lumumba, the country's first democratically elected prime minister.

Very brief and clear.

Gives a clear explanation of the Congo Crisis, and how foriegn governments such as the U.S. will sometimes make situations worse. More need to know who Patrice Lumumba was. This conflict is ignored by the world.

Too Short

I really wanted something that could give me more insight in Patrice Lumumba and what really happened, and although this short article did enlighten me to a point, I was left wanting more. Somebody do some research and write a good book about it please. Historical fiction would be good, but non-fiction if well written would be good too.
