The narrator has no medical background

Would you try another book from AudioLearn Authors and/or AudioLearn Voice Over Team?

Probably not

What was most disappointing about AudioLearn Authors’s story?

The narrator doesn't pronounce medical term correctly it is obvious she has no medical background or previous knowledge of the content.

How could the performance have been better?

You could have hired a nurse or a person with medical background to narrate. After all the narration is especially important because it is an audiobook.

What character would you cut from NCLEX-RN AudioLearn?

The narrator is the first thing i would cut out.

Any additional comments?

Content could be organized to include an index so that the content a students need to spend more time on can be easily located.

Frustrating

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

While this is a fair review to be used in conjunction with the Saunders' book, it is very inadequate alone. The narrator is obviously unfamiliar with medical terminology and her mispronunciations and verbal stumbling are aggravating and distracting.

What could AudioLearn Authors have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Hired a narrator who can pronounce medical terms correctly and/or a producer who could have corrected these problems.

Good

Yes
Would be nice if they repeated the correct answer instead of just saying the right letter choice I recommend

Need a new narrator....

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator talks way to fast. You cannot even process what she is saying. Also, she clearly has no medical background and pronounciates many of the words incorrectly.

Has NCLEX-RN AudioLearn turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of AudioLearn Voice Over Team?

Someone who has a medical background. Most likely a nurse.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I am very disappointed.

Book is incomplete

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

The audiobook is missing the entire section on geriatrics. Also, the recording jumps around from topic to topic inappropriately. It's like the audio wasn't pieced together properly.

Yes.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of AudioLearn Voice Over Team?

Yes.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

The computerized voice was awkward and difficult to understand. Please don't waste your money. In addition to the horrible computerized voice, there is a ton of background noise.

Any additional comments?

This book is poorly organized. With all of the problems, it makes listening very frustrating and useless. If I could have given it zero stars, I would have. What a waste of time and money!

Hard to get through - but OK in the car

Some of the people reading can't pronounce medical terminology which makes it a bit painful. That being said when studying for Nclex it's good to mix up with various styles of learning, so a good supplement.
