I first was introduced to James Rollins through the Sanguine Series. I can't get enough of the Sigma Force Novels. I have read the stand alone books. Now Rollins has me hooked on Tucker Wayne and his dog Kane.
Continuing from our previous encounters with Tucker and Kane, The story in War Hawk brings to life the science of today with the unthinkable lack of moral awareness that could easily afflict all of us. James Rollins continues to bring forth provocative and thought provoking scenarios for everyone to consider. This latest novel reminds of a required read from college entitled "Inventing Reality: The Politics of News Media" by Michael Parenti. Rollins has found a way to present a modern version of the concepts presented by Parenti.
I truly love the manner in which James incorporates real locales into his stories. I have spent many years driving through the United States and find that his descriptions take me back to places I have visited. Additionally, his writing has encouraged me to visit places I have not been.
Scott Aiello once again shines. His performance is amazing. The story coupled with Aiello's performance makes this book almost impossible to pause. I truly hope that Aiello is rewarded with being able to continue to be the voice of the characters in the Tucker Wayne series.
Can't get enough.

Have you listened to any of Scott Aiello’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
The only other performance I have heard Scott Aiello do was the first book in this series. His performance was outstanding in both.
Any additional comments?
This was another super book in the Tucker Wayne & Kane series (2nd book). I've been looking forward to this coming out.
This is not your typical espionage thriller in that it includes a very intelligent Belgium shepherd (long hair) but the part I get a kick out of is when Kane is sent on a mission, the story is told from his point of view. What he sees, feels, smells and thoughts. Very focused and what you would believe a dog would be thinking. The devotion between Tucker and Kane is almost tangible.
This book involves espionage, terrorism, loyalty, betrayal and the measures one friend will take to protect a living or avenge a murdered friend.
I really enjoyed the first book, THE KILL SWITCH, which came out 2 years ago. I sincerely hope it will not be another two years before he writes book 3. This is a very good series with unlimited possibilities.
