I Love Janet Evanovich. I never read this type of ?lighthearted fiction? until I was stuck on a long flight and I ended up laughing lots along the way. A good time and I have fun visualizing the scenes. Stephanie Plum is a great character- her life and her family is an enjoyable mess.

I found this series and almost didn't get it because I hate serieses! As a general rule characters in a series are great and likeable in the first book but just get boring and monotonous with subsequent books. But the Stephanie Plum mysteries take "mystery series" to a whole new level... Janet Evanovich is brilliant and masterfully brings more depth and ingregue to Stephanie's character with this next book and it just keeps getting better!! You will fall all the more in love with Stephanie, Joe, and Lula in this book! Don't miss all the rest of the books to date in this series! The reader for these early books is ok, but I like Lorilei King, who does the later books, better. However don't let it stop you from catching all these early books in the series. They are delightful... just like Stephanie herself!

As an abridged version this is very good - Lori Petty's voice and accent are completely Stephanie although she is a little limited in her range of voices. Her interpretation of Ranger's voice is also very good - different to that which I imagined but I think that my imagination got it wrong!!!
But I shall repeat my whinge of One for the Money - we need unabridged versions of these great books - I think that the books are less funny and less menacing in their abridged forms. Nonetheless I would recommend that everybody should get to know Stephanie Plum in whatever media is available to them!

What would have made Two for the Dough better?
It's a great story but Lori Patty reads it too fast in a fairy monotoned style. Accent sounds slightly Spanish which is wrong for the character, Stephanie Plum who is suppose to have a jersey accent.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Two for the Dough?
Story is good. The reader is disappointing.
Would you be willing to try another one of Lori Petty’s performances?
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment because I like Stephanie Plum novels.
Any additional comments?
Listen to C.J. Critt. She reads them brilliantly!
Terrific book in an unabrigded version read by C.J. Critt,.
this narrator is quite annoying, reads to dast and nervously, no joy in listening, why all those abrigded versions? Please have unabridged version by C.J. Critt available...
