Publisher's summary

Harry Bosch searches for the truth in the new thriller from number-one New York Times best-selling author Michael Connelly.

Harry Bosch is back as a volunteer working cold cases for the San Fernando Police Department and is called out to a local drugstore where a young pharmacist has been murdered. Bosch and the town's three-person detective squad sift through the clues, which lead into the dangerous, big business world of pill mills and prescription drug abuse.

Meanwhile, an old case from Bosch's LAPD days comes back to haunt him when a long-imprisoned killer claims Harry framed him and seems to have new evidence to prove it. Bosch left the LAPD on bad terms, so his former colleagues aren't keen to protect his reputation. He must fend for himself in clearing his name and keeping a clever killer in prison.

The two unrelated cases wind around each other like strands of barbed wire. Along the way Bosch discovers that there are two kinds of truth: the kind that sets you free and the kind that leaves you buried in darkness.

Another Great Harry Bosch

I’ve read or listened to every book in Connelly’s Harry Bosch series. I’m a cynic and keep waiting for the first time Connelly merely mails it in. Hasn’t happened yet. Two Kinds of Truth is a tightly written, character consistent work that is as enjoyable a listen as any in the series. As for the reader, Titus Welliver is a perfect Bosch, especially if you watch the Harry Bosch series on Amazon.

Outstanding!

This book is outstanding. Great having Titus Welliver narrate. Michael Connelly at his best with both Bosch and Haller involved.

Ripoff!!!

There are two versions of "Two KInds of Truth". One last about 6.5 hours and the second lasts about 10 hours. At signup, we took the first version because we did not know about the second version. Unfortunately, our version does not resolve one major aspect of the story line. I intend to exchange my short version for the "regular version". I will post appropriately if this situation is not resolved.

Harry... A cop's cop!

Harry is right in the middle of it again, and he does not disappoint! My only gripe is the story, masterfully narrated by Titus Welliver, was too short for my taste.
Michael, give us more"color commentary" of LA and the surrounding area. And maybe broaden Harry's base of operations... The OC Sheriff's Department could use his disruptive influence.!

Seems like a “fill in” book

I love the Bosch books and TV show. Narrated well , and overall a good listen. However , it feel a bit short and rushed , not really fleshed out and an intro to set the stage for a forthcoming book

Great Story

I would have given this book and the audible version a 5 star but I hold off on 5 stars for books that should be classics. But this story was a weaving of several compelling lines. Just too short.
