Publisher's summary

Robin Monarch is a man with a complicated past and dangerous present. He's been a soldier, a CIA agent, and freelance operative, but first and foremost, Robin Monarch is a thief of the highest order. Orphaned at 12, Monarch originally stole for survival, then he stole for his friends and cohorts, now he steals to order and to give back to the to the woman who saved his life many years ago. With the help of his team, Monarch breaks into the legendary Christmas party of Beau Arsenault, a shady investor and behind the scenes player at the very highest levels of power politics. Arsenault is not above bending or breaking the rules if there's illicit profit to be made. Monarch has decided that those illicit profits will be better used to take care of orphans and street kids. Using the party as cover to break into Arsenault's secret vaults, Monarch comes away with two unexpected things. One is a bullet - he gets shot when he's caught trying to escape with tens of millions of negotiable instruments. The second is a lead on what might be his most audacious exploit ever. A previously undiscovered tribe in South America may well have the secret to the most sought after knowledge in history - that of eternal life. And Robin Monarch must use all his skills - as an operative, as a thief - to keep this secret from falling into the worst possible hands.

it was ok

This story is very very long. It feels like an old episode of Dragon Ball Z.

Great book Robin Monarch rules

Another layer of Robin Monarch unveiled. Don't piss off a thief. A great trip through the Amazon rainforest. I will surely download his next book.

I do like Robin Monarch

Robin and his crew are most likeable characters. I never enjoy the description of pain and suffering involving innocent people but it is pretty essential to the storyline here. A satisfying ending makes the story worth the time and credit. Overall an enjoyable series.

Meh...

I am a certified series fanatic and I was looking for another character to get into while impatiently waiting for my favorite authors to release their new books. This was my first time reading anything by Mark Sullivan.

Based on my research I was excited to read about Robin Monarch. "Thief", however, didn't do it for me. Although the story begins with a bit of excitement it wasn't enough to reel me in. The characters and plot were a little corny and I was mostly indifferent to the story as a whole- only listening at night to fall asleep.

The narrator was pretty good. Some of his voices were slightly annoying, but nothing too bad. I probably won't read anymore Robin Monarch novels.

Happy reading!

Much more than I expected

Really enjoyed the listening, hard to turn off. Probably will listen to it a 2nd time just because I enjoyed it so much.

Very busy plot

Perfect narration. Story, however, contains too much action which at times can be very confusing

Another home run!

Once again Sullivan brings it to the reader at a pace that's guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat! The narrator does a great job at bringing each characters personality to life and reveals the storyline in a manner designed to please. Well done!!

Enjoyable

Great summer story and fabulous narrator, however a lot to follow at times. I enjoy Sullivan’s books.

Okay

It was good enough to keep my interest, but it never really grabbed me either. The narrator was good tho.
