Lydia has been living quietly. Now Mort and another friend encourage her to become active again. But what does that mean when she is a vigilante? Allie, Mort's daughter, returns home after a 5-year absence. Who is Allie? Mort thinks he knows, but Lydia knows.
Our strong independent women (Allie and Lydia) with their atypical morals ponder the question, can they really change who they are? They have the real measure of each other.
Mort is on the crusade to save his daughter from the drug lords. He is determined to make right whatever went wrong between Allie and him long ago.
T.E. Woods has provided our protagonists, Lydia, and Mort in a situation which adds another dimension to their characters. Who they now after saving each other and their secrets being laid bare?
The action for The Fixer is not the same as in the previous books. This is imperative if you are a reader who excepts the usual formula for each series. This is still a very action packed. The suspense hinges on who are Lydia and Mort? How can she be The Fixer now that she has relationships with other people? Are the lives lost the results of inability to answer that question.
To understand the characters and their relationship you should read the other books first. If the audio does not come out soon, I might have to read the book.

What a good series this is! This book is so full of twists and turns and some really messed up family relationships. It has truth and lies and betrayal all interwoven in a story that makes it very difficult to decipher which is which until almost the end of the book.
The books ending through me with an unexpected change in the relationship between the two protagonists (Mort and Lydia) when Mort's daughter Allie, who is a real piece of work, leaves Lydia's home on her own terms with no word to her father.
This book is the third in the series with three more to go so far. I am certainly looking forward to the next three to be released in audio format.
