Publisher's summary

It's been less than a month since Alastair Stone, Jason Thayer, and Jason's sister Verity discovered a monstrous conspiracy to take over our world one mind at a time. The battle in San Francisco struck a major blow - but it didn't eliminate the threat.

Not even close.

Where do the Evil come from? How did they get here? As Stone, Jason, and Verity dig deeper into these questions, they make a shocking discovery about the nature of the Evil - and what happened that opened the door into our dimension. What they find sends them on a desperate cross-country race from the wilds of West Virginia to the dark neon wonderland of Las Vegas as they attempt to stop the Evil at its source before it's too late.

From a new colony of Forgotten to a powerful and mysterious gray mage with unclear motives, they will find help in their efforts - but will it be enough?

OH MY GOODNESS, SO GOOD

Thus far, it has been the best book. I really hope she brings Harris back. I would really like to know what kind of Mage he was because Alastair was not in the same league.!

Maybe too much death.

loved this book and all in the series this far. However, I feel like there may be too much death. not with main characters but characters that have opportunities to become recurrent characters later on die off really fast. you meet a character and start to learn about them BOOM dead.

GOOD. THE PLOT IS GETTING MORE AND MORE INTERESTING.

Alastair Stone, Jason and Verity are busy trying to find the portals and closing them to prevent more evils from coming through. There are lots of action and dangers facing them. They get to meet new allies and enemies. Enjoyable. Well written and well performed.
