Publisher's summary

There are incidents and emergencies in the world that defy logical explanation, events that could be defined as supernatural, extraterrestrial, or simply otherworldly. Standard laws do not allow for such instances, nor are most officials or authorities trained to handle them. In recognition of these facts, one organization has been created that can. Assembled by a loose international coalition, their mission is to deal with these situations using diplomacy, guile, force, and strategy as necessary. They shield the rest of the world from their own actions, and clean up the messes left in their wake. They are our protection, our guide, our sword, and our voice, all rolled into one.

They are O.C.L.T.

In Eugene, Oregon, there is a rash of suicides. All of them by hanging. All of them in locked rooms that preclude outside interference...and all of them committed with identical antique nooses.

Captain Bill Edmonds of the Eugene Police Department is trying to figure out what could be behind the pattern, but comes up empty until the grisly phenomena hits the Internet radar of the O.C.L.T. Geoffrey Bullfinch arrives in town, hoping to track down the answers. With Bill's fiancée, Madrigal Harper, her son Skylar and his band of ghost-hunting friends, an ex-comic who once performed with John Belushi, and a cast of characters including New Jersey mobsters, book collectors, and pizza chefs, they fight to close the net on the killer before there can be more hangings. And that's just the beginning.

The Noose Club

I enjoyed this one!Unexplained suicides are happening with old timey nooses. Most of these nooses were found when people bought old homes and the new owner could not part with them. The OCLT has some investigating to do. David S Dear was an excellent narrator.I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

Any additional comments?

Decent story with some suspenseful moments. Good performance by the narrator. I received this audiobook for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.

The O.C.L.T. Strikes again!

Great story in a series. Think warehouse 13 meets MIB meets the occult. Great series with a great team of protagonists that combat the occult in all its many forms. Get ready for some traditional fairy tale creatures to take on a very in traditional role in a very macabre series of events that will leave you "hanging". I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Fearful Fun!

"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

First off, I just want to state that David S. Dear is wonderful! Such a fun talent. I have no idea how he was able to keep all the different voices straight.

I chose two books for my Halloween listening this year. I wasn't thrilled with the other choice I made but this one was a good choice. The characters are well written. The story is a paranormal murder mystery. I was thrilled with all the little nods to Oregon (I'm in SC and really miss OR). It is quirky and a bit strange but it is a fun roller coaster ride.

I would like to listen to another Bischoff/Dear audiobook.

Room for improvement

The storyline was decent enough, but it could have been so much better.

The narrator did an amazing job in his narration, he was perfect with the voices and various emotions. He was a definite plus to the quality o the audible.

I received this audible free of cost and am happy to leave my review.

Unexpected and great!

I loved Maggie, Skyler and her best friend the neighbor next-door and Billy her boyfriend. I thought these were great characters and they made me laugh not to mention the story was weird and original. It is a mystery in there or death to be resolved, but I have never read one like this. Most mysteries have account report this one does not I loved it!

Spooky Fun

This book is a short fun supernatural read. The narration was great with all of the characters and goblins. Enjoyed the characters of this organization (OCLT group) of variable fun characters. Look forward more from this group. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. Thank you

Different.

I usually like mystery and sci fi ghost stories, however this one was a little different. I found myself struggling a bit. What I cant figure out is if it was the story or the narrator. Now he wasn’t horrible, but I did not enjoy some of his voices, they were a bit exaggerated. I battled with the story one minute waiting hopefully for it to end and the next on the edge of my seat. It was a very love hate relationship. Basically a bunch of people in a small town begin hanging themselves. Investigations begin with professionals and amateur sleuths alike they band together to go on a ghost hunt and end up finding more. On the fence with this one. Good story, meh narration. I received a free review copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Fun book

Any additional comments?

Nice story with a diverse cast. Narrator does a phenomenal job with a large cast. My only complaint is Bullfinch kind of being snubbed out of the story at the end. Nonetheless, this is a really fun listen.
