Where do I begin? Ah yes. The beginning. The beginning which really sets the stage of dissatisfaction because the story starts out strong. And has a good plot. But that quickly changes.
The entire thing was waaaay too drawn out. Which made the ending not worth it, by the time you got to it. But the worst part of the whole thing is the dialogue. It feels like the authors have never heard normal conversations between people (especially conversations between 2 women), so instead wrote what they imagined normal conversations would sound like. It was brutal. And awkward. And I'm pretty sure at one point I wondered if I had acids rly bought some cheesy lesbian lovers book, because the dialogue was THAT off beat.
But if that isn't enough, the characters are weak. They introduce them with one set of characteristic, and then find them acting nothing like that later. The genius detective who can tell your exact where-abouts from a bug on your car, is later the same dumb detective who can't price clues together that are so obvious it'll have you yelling "oh come on!" To your book.
