In the "compelling" and "pitch perfect" follow up to Tana French's runaway best seller In the Woods, it's six months later and Cassie Maddox has transferred out of the Dublin Murder squad. But an urgent telephone call beckons Cassie to a grisly crime scene. The victim looks exactly like Cassie and carries ID identifying herself as Alexandra Madison, an alias Cassie once used as an undercover cop. Suddenly, Cassie must discover not only who killed this girl, but, more importantly, who is this girl?

"This is a re-issue of a great book.

As I listened to The Likeness, I realized I had listened to it before. And lo and behold it was in my library from a several years ago. Tho I am am still enjoying it I do think that Amazon should be up front about this being a re-issue. That being said it is worth a second listen.

Captured by this book.

I listen to several books a week and have for years. I don’t remember one that pulled me is as The Likeness did. Every free minute I had I listened and the end of the book came too soon.

I would recommend the book to someone who likes to envision the setting of a book. The house and the garden, the family within the house, imperfect and fragile, were believable. The character for whom money was the most important thing was believable.

Well worth reading.
